A number of people think of gingerbread, the Velka Pardubicka or the Green Gate when they hear the name Pardubice. Those who know Pardubice, however know that it is the gate to East Bohemia and an almost ideal place for active relaxation. The city and its wide surroundings have a history dating back to more than seven hundred years ago and a dynamic present, which is well worth discovering.

Art and history lovers, those who admire the beauty of nature and those who believe in movement will find something of their own in our region. It does not matter whether you want to travel by train, car, bicycle, horseback or by foot. Each trail offers abounding beauty and idyllic corners, interesting buildings and pleasant and hospitable people.

As the Chief Magistrate of Pardubice, firstly, I would like to invite you to my city, which is the cultural and social centre and which boasts an exquisite historical centre, plus a modern swimming pool or the largest indoor skatepark. Nevertheless, as an East Bohemian I can also think of a countless number of places that I would like to show you and which are worth visiting.
